The 2023 Women in Business Awards have concluded, shining a spotlight on the incredible achievements of women in the business world. With a wonderful array of talented and inspiring businesswomen entering across various sectors, we’re proud to be celebrating their success, innovation, and leadership.

Recognising Excellence

The awards recognised women who have shown remarkable accomplishments in their respective fields, celebrating their dedication, hard work, and impact on the business world. This year’s winners represent a diverse range of industries, showcasing the incredible breadth of talent among women in business.

Leading the way, Shantell Moore of Dash Couriers (Wiltshire) Ltd was named Businesswoman of the Year, recognising her exceptional leadership and contributions to the business world.

Maihvish Iqbal of AestheticsbyM was awarded Social Media Businesswoman of the Year, recognising her impressive online presence and ability to connect with audiences through various social media platforms. Ava Whetstone-Magee from Avalanche Equestrian took home the Startup Businesswoman of the Year award, demonstrating her remarkable journey in establishing a successful business from the ground up. Phillipa Nicholson of Blue Bull Recruitment Ltd received the Recruitment Businesswoman of the Year award, highlighting her exceptional contribution to the recruitment sector and helping companies find the right talent.

Smita Gupta from Smita Gupta Advisory received both the Marketing Businesswoman of the Year and Business Consultant – Women in Business Award, a huge achievement highlighting her expertise in multiple disciplines.

Celebrating Talent

The awards also celebrated the achievements of women from various sectors, showcasing their unique contributions to the business world. Tasmin Schöpp from Geopace Training was awarded the Training & Tuition Businesswoman of the Year award for her outstanding work in providing education and training services to businesses. Jane Gray of GLOW&be, Cosmetics & Skincare received the Creator / Influencer Businesswoman of the Year award, recognising her impact as a beauty influencer and the success of her cosmetics and skincare brand.

Iesha Notice from Ice Tickles Childcare was honoured with the Charity Businesswoman of the Year award for her dedication to providing quality childcare services and making a positive impact on the community. Carlissa Daniels of J&A (International) Limited received the Leadership Award – Women in Business, highlighting her exceptional leadership skills and ability to drive her company to new heights.

Jo Bates of Thumbsie Ltd took home our Health & Wellbeing Businesswoman of the Year award, setting the standard in her sector, while Sian Saunders of DC Clean Group Ltd did the same in ecomm, making her our Retail & Ecommerce Businesswoman of the Year.

With unmatched mingling skills, Emma Wright won Networking Businesswoman of the Year for her work on her two businesses, Vanilla Pod Beauty and Emma Wright Mentor.

Championing the Next Generation

The awards ceremony also recognised young businesswomen who have already made a significant impact in their industries. Beverley West from Little Paws Microchipping & Ultrasounds received the Young Businesswoman of the Year award for her dedication to providing quality microchipping and ultrasound services for pets. Caitlin Wintin of Muddy Buddyz was named Advertising Businesswoman of the Year, showcasing her innovative approach to advertising and the success of her campaigns.

Vicki Sutton of Multiply Coaching received the Coaching Businesswoman of the Year award, recognising her exceptional work in helping businesses achieve their goals through coaching.

Triumph Over Adversity

The awards also celebrated the resilience and determination of women who have overcome challenges to achieve success. Zunaira Maiwish of Tectah received the Triumph over Adversity – Women in Business award, recognising her ability to overcome obstacles and achieve remarkable success in business. Emma Tapper from The Friendly Chemical Co was awarded the Business Growth Award – Women in Business, showcasing her company’s impressive growth and success.

Honouring the Finalists

In addition to the winners, the awards ceremony also recognised the achievements of the finalists, who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to their respective industries.

Kirsty Crouch, a Body Shop at Home Consultant for Real and Raw Skincare, was a finalist in the Health & Wellbeing Businesswoman of the Year category. Phillipa Nicholson of Blue Bull Recruitment Ltd, Sian Saunders from DC Clean Group Ltd, and Tasmin Schöpp of Geopace Training were all finalists in the Startup Businesswoman of the Year and Coaching Businesswoman of the Year categories, respectively.

Nicola Spencer of Love Autumn Rose reached the finalist stage in three areas, the Social Media Businesswoman of the Year, Marketing Businesswoman of the Year, and Triumph over Adversity – Women in Business categories. Caitlin Wintin from Muddy Buddyz was recognised as a finalist in the Creator / Influencer Businesswoman of the Year, Remote Working Businesswoman of the Year, and Charity Businesswoman of the Year categories.

Our Retail & Ecommerce Businesswoman of the Year, Sian Saunders of DC Clean Group Ltd also made it to the Finalist stage of the Startup Businesswoman of the Year award.

The 2023 Women in Business Awards was a night of celebration, empowerment, and inspiration. It highlighted the incredible achievements of women in the business world and the importance of supporting and recognising their contributions.
