Named Family Business of the Year at the Family Business Awards, BrightonAirportRoaders is a family-run airport transfer service built from the ground up by a university student and his relatives. The business was launched during a challenging period for travel and has since grown through a consistent focus on reliability, personal service and customer satisfaction. Their client-centred approach has contributed to a loyal customer base and strong local reputation.

Recognised as Independent Retailer of the Year at the Retail Awards, Kindly of Brighton has developed a distinctive hybrid model combining supermarket convenience with refill-store sustainability. Their plant-based product range, refill stations and local partnerships support environmentally conscious shopping, while their investment in carbon-neutral delivery and renewable energy underscores a long-term commitment to reducing environmental impact.

Radiant Facial Rejuvenation received the Outstanding Nursing Excellence award at the Health Care Awards, acknowledging the founder’s 30-year nursing background and the clinic’s emphasis on patient safety and ethical practice. With a strong clinical foundation and growing client base, the clinic combines medical aesthetics with a high standard of professional care, supported by multiple accreditations and consistently positive client feedback.

At the Maker Awards, South Coast Metal Fabrication Ltd was awarded Best Artisanal Business. The company produces bespoke metalwork for both commercial and private clients, led by a team with decades of experience. From artistic sculptures to structural installations, their work is known for its precision, attention to detail and quality of finish, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and craftsmanship.

Sussex Waste Management Ltd was named Recycling and Waste Management Company of the Year at the Recycling and Waste Management Awards. Operating across multiple towns and now in its third generation of family ownership, the company has developed into a comprehensive waste management service. With a reported 99% recycling rate and additional services including recycled aggregate supply, the business continues to prioritise sustainability and cost-effective solutions for customers.

Clare Payne of UK Vita Nova Ltd was recognised as Startup Businesswoman of the Year at the Women in Business Awards. In its first year of trading, the business has built a strong foundation within the wellness sector, offering science-backed supplements and a growing portfolio of customer resources. Clare’s personal commitment to sustainable wellness, along with a clear brand identity and responsive service, has positioned UK Vita Nova as a promising new business.
