Following a long career in NHS leadership, Sandra established the business to help organisations translate conversations about culture and engagement into practical change. Strong commercial growth, psychologically informed consultancy and her work supporting disabled professionals demonstrate leadership that combines professional expertise, lived experience and a clear commitment to fairer workplaces.
A practical approach to organisational culture also secured Culture & Engagement Experts Ltd the award for Independent Business Consultancy of the Year in the Business Consultancy Awards. Founded in 2024, the consultancy has built a national client base across public and private sector organisations by examining the behaviours and workplace experiences that influence performance, retention and wellbeing. Its evidence-based diagnostics, leadership support and specialist inclusion work give clients structured tools for addressing underlying cultural challenges rather than relying on generic engagement initiatives.
Strategic investment and a willingness to improve every stage of production distinguish Orvarto, named Best Small Manufacturer in the Manufacturing Awards. From its Kirkby-in-Ashfield base, the ten-person team manufactures wipe solutions for healthcare, patient hygiene and care environments. Investment in automation, packaging optimisation and expanded wet wipe production has increased capability while reducing waste, including projects that have helped customers substantially lower plastic use. This combination of agility, technical development and forward planning provides a strong justification for the company’s recognition.
Creating an expert-led facility that remains welcoming to people of different ages and abilities has seen Anasa Reformer Pilates Ltd receive Best Health and Wellbeing Facility in the Health and Wellbeing Awards. Since opening in Newark in 2023, ANASA has reached 1,000 members, expanded into a second studio and developed an in-house team of 14. Its carefully adapted classes support everyone from beginners and young mothers to athletes and clients in their eighties, combining high-quality instruction with an environment where members can build strength, confidence and lasting social connections.
Trust, transparency and consistent customer care are central to the success of RRK Van Sales Ltd, winner of Car Sales Business of the Year in the Automotive Awards. Established in 2014, the family-run dealership has grown from a small operation into a nationally recognised independent van retailer with approximately 70 vehicles in stock. Its reputation has been built primarily through recommendations and repeat business, supported by more than 135 five-star reviews and a service model that recognises how important a reliable commercial vehicle can be to a customer’s livelihood.
Rapid early progress combined with work on challenging behavioural cases has earned Prodigy – K9 the Rising Star Award in the Pet and Animal Care Awards. Within its first six months, the business attracted clients from across the UK and received more than 60 five-star Google reviews. Its support extends beyond initial dog training, helping owners understand and manage behaviour over the longer term through ongoing guidance and community group walks. Originally established as a balloon artistry service, the business has developed into a broader event styling brand delivering weddings, engagements and milestone celebrations. Growing demand for larger events, strong word-of-mouth referrals and recognition from a major event inspiration platform reflect the progress behind this award.
